Energy Bills

Your home may use different sources of energy like electricity and oil or gas for home heating. 

In order to calculate our home carbon footprint, we need to find our usage and enter it on the Carbon Emission Charts your teacher gave you in class.

Measuring Waste

You may or may not have regular waste bills at home. If you do, check if the bill gives you a breakdown of Kg Waste per type. If you do not have waste bills, we can still measure our home waste production.

Measuring Water use

This will depend on whether or not your home receives a water bill or you may also have a water meter installed. If you have either or, then you will be able to measure your water use. If not, do not worry! The Building a Greener future programme will still show you how to reduce water use at home.
