People-Powered Sustainability Certification
LeafMark™
Because real sustainability starts with people, not paperwork.
I T S P U R P O S E
What Is the LeafMark™?
Sustainability in business is often reduced to checklists and infrastructure: recycling bins, LED lights, energy meters. All important. But they’re not where real transformation begins.
The LeafMark™ is a new kind of sustainability certification created by Fifty Shades Greener.
Instead of measuring just systems or buildings, it recognises something far more powerful:
Organisations that invest in sustainability education and skills for their people.
When your team understands sustainability, they don’t just support it, they live it.
LeafMark™ was built to celebrate that.
A symbol of commitment to a greener future.
The LeafMark™
The LeafMark™ is a three-tier certification that shows how deeply sustainability learning has been embedded across your workforce.
It’s not about buying a badge or ticking boxes.
It’s about building a culture where knowledge, awareness, and action sit at the heart of how you operate.
Each Leaf level reflects your organisation’s commitment to training your team in Green Skills, from awareness to advanced leadership.
One Leaf
Awareness in Action
One Leaf recognises organisations that have laid the foundation for a sustainability-aware culture.
- At least 20% of your workforce has completed Green Skills Level 1 training.
- Your team understands the basics of sustainability and how their day-to-day actions make a difference.
It’s your first big step: turning “we care about sustainability” into “we’re learning how to do it.”
Two Leaves
Skills in Practice
Two Leaves shows that you’re moving beyond awareness into practical action.
- At least 20% of staff have completed Green Skills Level 1 training.
- At least 2% have completed Green Skills Level 2 training, giving them more specific skills to apply sustainability within operations.
This level recognises that sustainability isn’t just a value, it’s a practical capability embedded across your team.
Three Leaves
Leaders in Sustainability
Three Leaves is the highest LeafMark™ level and celebrates organisations leading the way.
- At least 50% of staff have completed Green Skills Level 1.
- At least 2% have completed Green Skills Level 2.
- At least one team member has completed Green Skills Level 3 training, giving you advanced in-house expertise to steer sustainability across the organisation.
At this level, sustainability isn’t a side project. It is part of your strategy, your culture, and your everyday decisions.
Why LeafMark™ Is Different
There are plenty of eco-labels and certifications out there.
Most of them focus on infrastructure, compliance, and long technical audits.
The LeafMark™ flips that script.
Instead of asking, “Do you have the right technology?”
We ask: “Do your people have the right skills?”
Because change doesn’t happen because a logo is on your website.
It happens because the people behind the logo understand what they’re doing and why they’re doing it.
That’s why LeafMark™ is:
